An osprey was perched on a tall post in the channel about 500m upstream of the nature reserve at around 10.45. As I walked S along the top of the shore it took off and headed N, quite high - it would have been somewhere over Lawrenny around 11.00. Some brown hairstreak hunters were looking the wrong way.
