A smart male firecrest was ringed at Ty Rhyg yesterday morning during a busy session. Lots of thrushes overhead including a minimum of 500 redwings and 120 fieldfare. Also of note were 17 crossbills in a noisy flock, 2 bramblings, 2 sparrowhawks and a late blackcap.
